#entomophagy is a photographic project describing the use of insects in food preparations.

The pictures, at first sight, are quite reassuring for the observer, as they show common, traditional dishes. But… at a more careful observation one can discover the presence of insects, that are intentionally kept in their original shape.

This artistic choice is aimed at drawing the observer’s attention, not only to impress with a singular image, but also to face people with their food taboos.

These pictures provide the opportunity to reflect on the future of nutrition and stress the connection between sustainable development, the possibility to breed edible insects and the (forced?) path humankind has to go in the near future to deal with growing global needs for food.
