PIAZZA FONTANESI, REGGIO EMILIA – THE FARMER MARKET

This project is aimed at describing the human, social and food landscape of The Farmer Market of Piazza Fontanesi.

Here, like in many other farmer markets around the world, there would be hundreds of stories to tell. Among those hundreds, we have chosen three, to share the experience of three young professionals, exclusive testimonials of different product categories.

This market is also the place where two different realities meet. On one side, a thousand-year old practice and, on the other, new trends on the labour market: qualified, skilled professionals leave (or never enter) the control rooms of traditional white-collar business to devote their energy and experience to farming and breeding, creating added value for the entire sector, sharing on the stands the results of their work, completing with their presence the entire product chain.
